Glacier Hills Home Care continues a proud tradition of providing private duty personal care services in the Washtenaw County area since it was founded by Ingrid Deininger and her colleagues in 1979, under the name of Individualized Home Care.

Ingrid's vision, and the vision of Glacier Hills Home Care, is to serve patients and their families by providing care that is "customized" to fit the needs of the client. We have continued this with a team of well qualified care providers who offer excellence in personal care services in the Washtenaw and Western Wayne County areas.

Your Personal Care Team:

Personal Care – trained caregivers assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and activities of daily life.
Home Management– help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation to medical appointments.
Companionship – our companions will be there for daily support and interaction, and accompaniment to social functions and activities.
Flexible Staffing – provides coverage tailored to your needs, from 3 to 24 hours per day.
Detailed Nurse Assessments – our caring nurses determine your unique needs and create a plan of care that’s right for you.
Nursing Oversight– regular review of your care plan and ongoing supervision of caregivers ensures your satisfaction with our services.
Care Management– private duty nurses will oversee medication management and coordinate your health care and well being.

Our nurses are licensed in the State of Michigan, and we conduct criminal background and reference checks on all our staff prior to hire. Our team is insured, bonded and trained to meet the highest standards of the home care industry.

Most private duty home care services are privately paid. Long Term Care Insurance may cover some private duty care. Glacier Hills Home Care will work with most private insurance companies including motor vehicle providers, worker's compensation and accident and injury insurers.

Clients may pay for services by check or automatic deduction. A deposit is requested at the time services begin.
